International Education and Resource Network UK

Started in 1988, iEARN is the world's largest non-profit global network that enables teachers and young people to use the Internet and other new technologies to collaborate on projects that both enhance learning and make a difference in the world

iEARN UK held its Annual Conference on 5th June 2006 at Kellogg College, Oxford. We shared our projects this past year including One World, Learning for Life, Music and Art through iEARN and Learning Circles. We also enjoyed a presentation by our WEC volunteer, Annie Levey.

The focus of iEARN UK this year has been to train teachers and others who work with young people, to provide on-line resources and programmes to engage young people in international and environmental issues and to work with young people to promote global citizenship and awareness of the impact of actions in the UK on the rest of the world.

iEARN offers both face-to-face and online professional development workshops and courses for educators seeking to enhance their work with young people through the integration of Internet-based project work.
